Tecno Pop 7 Pro Set to Launch in India on February 16

The Tecno Pop 7 Pro is set arrive in India on February 16 after it launched in Africa earlier this month. Tecno, the Chinese smartphone maker, took to Twitter to announce the launch of the smartphone. The latest smartphone will succeed the Tecno 6 Pro. The device will be powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC and will pack a 5,000mAh battery. Here's what the Tecno Pop 7 has on offer:

Tecno Pop 7 Pro: Specifications

The Tecno Pop 7 Pro sports a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch at the top. The screen has a refresh rate of 60Hz and pixel density of 269 ppi. In terms of design, the phone features a geometric pattern surrounding a square camera island at the rear.

In terms of cameras, the Pop 7 Pro has a dual camera setup comprising a 13MP primary camera and a QVGA depth sensor. The camera island also houses a dual-LED flash and a fingerprint sensor. At the front, there's a 5MP camera for selfies.

The Tecno Pop 7 Pro will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The device could be available with 3GB/4GB RAM paired with 64GB internal storage.

The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging. As for the software, the Pop 7 Pro runs on Android 12 with a layer of HiOS 12 on top. For network connectivity, the handset will support Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPC. It will include a USB Type-C 2.0.

Tecno Pop 7 Pro: Availability

While the Tecno Pop 7 Pro will launch in India on February 16, it's unclear whether the Indian model will be the same as the one launched in Africa. The smartphone is expected to arrive in Turquoise Cyan and Atlantic Blue colorways. The Tecno Pop 7 Pro is reported to be available for purchase in India via Flipkart.
