Tecno has officially announced that the Tecno Pop 8 is scheduled to make its debut in India on January 3, 2024. This positions the Pop 8 as the first smartphone to hit the Indian market in the new year.

The teaser video not only discloses the launch date but also hints at an attractive price point. Priced at Rs 5,xxx, Tecno aims to position the Pop 8 as an enticing option for budget-conscious consumers, falling under the Rs 6,000 bracket.

Tecno Pop 8 Specifications

The Tecno Pop 8 boasts a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display, featuring a centered punch-hole cutout to house the selfie camera. With a 90Hz refresh rate and 8H surface hardness, the device promises a smooth and durable viewing experience.

Powered by the UniSoC T606 processor with a Mali G57 GPU, the Pop 8 is expected to deliver reliable performance. Notably, Tecno reveals that the smartphone achieved an impressive score of under 2,40,000 points on the AnTuTu V10 benchmarking platform. Equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, the Pop 8 supports virtual RAM extension up to 4GB.

The smartphone is set to feature a dual rear camera setup, including a 13MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and AI lens, accompanied by an LED flash.
