Tecno has launched an affordable smartphone dubbed the Pop 9 5G in India. The smartphone has a distinct design compared to its predecessor Tecno Pop 8 and also features an upgraded 120Hz display, 48MP rear camera, and the Dimensity 6300 SoC. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, the Tecno Pop 9 comes with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. It has an LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate; however, the display size has not been revealed yet.

For imaging, there is a 48MP Sony IMX582 rear camera sensor paired with an LED flash. Upfront, it opts for an 8MP selfie camera. The Tecno Pop 9 is also claimed to be the first 5G phone in the segment with NFC support. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W wired charging.

Moreover, the Pop 9 features an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. Other features include an infrared sensor, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, and Android 14 OS. Lastly, it measures 165 x 77 x 8mm in dimension and weighs 189g.

The Tecno Pop 9 5G price in India starts at Rs 9,499 for the 4GB/64GB model, while the 4GB/128GB storage variant will cost Rs 9,999. It is offered in Aurora Cloud, Azure Sky, and Midnight colour options.

The Pop 9 5G is currently up for pre-booking on Amazon, while the first sale will take place on October 7. Interested can pre-book the handset by paying Rs 499, which will be credited back as Amazon Pay Balance at the time of purchase.
