TECNO POP 9 Ultra-Affordable Smartphone Launched in India: Check Price, Specifications, Availability
TECNO has introduced the POP 9, a new budget-friendly 4G smartphone in India. This follows the release of its 5G variant in September. The device features a 6.67-inch Dot-In HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a Dynamic Port for notifications.
The TECNO POP 9 is equipped with DTS and stereo speakers, enhancing the audio experience. It is the first smartphone in India to utilise the MediaTek Helio G50 SoC. The phone includes 3GB of RAM, supplemented by an additional 3GB of virtual RAM through memory fusion technology. TECNO assures users of over three years of lag-free performance.

Key Features and Specifications
This smartphone boasts a 13MP rear camera and is rated IP54 for dust and water resistance. It houses a robust 5000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging, although it comes with a 10W charger in the package.
The TECNO POP 9 runs on Android 14 Go Edition with HiOS 14, promising two years of security updates. It supports dual SIM (nano + nano + microSD) and offers expandable storage up to 1TB via microSD card.
Additional features include an octa-core MediaTek Helio G50 processor clocked at up to 2.2GHz, paired with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IR sensor for added security and functionality.
The phone supports multiple connectivity options such as Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C. It also includes a standard 3.5 mm audio jack. Weighing in at just 189g, the dimensions of the TECNO POP 9 are 165.62×77.01×8.35mm, making it both lightweight and compact for easy handling.

The TECNO POP 9 is available in three colour variants: Glittery White, Lime Green, and Startrail Black. The TECNO POP 9 price in India starts from Rs 6,999 for the sole 3GB/64GB model with a Rs 200 bank offer applicable to interested customers. The entry-level smartphone will be available for purchase on Amazon.in starting November 26th.
