Tecno Pova 5 launched with MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, 120Hz Display, 6,000 mAh Battery

Tecno recently unveiled a new smartphone in its Pova series. The Tecno Pova 5 arrives with a MediaTek chipset, smooth display, a dual-camera setup, and a large battery with fast charging support.

The Tecno Pova 5 also comes in a special Free Fire edition. However, this special edition model only features a new colour scheme and some freebies in the box. Now, back to the latest budget 4G smartphone by Tecno.

Tecno Pova 5 Availability

Tecno is yet to announce pricing of the Pova 5. However, Tecno will unveil the smartphone in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America in the coming days. However, the Tecno Pova 5 price will differ for every market.

The Tecno Pova 5 is offered in Hurricane Blue, Amber Gold, and Mecha Black colour options. To recall, the Tecno Pova 4 price in India is set at Rs 11,999, which suggests that the Pova 5 will likely fall in the sub-15K smartphone segment.

Tecno Pova 5 Specifications

The Tecno Pova 5 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM. The Pova 5 also comes with up to 256GB of storage. The handset sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel. The screen boats a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

The Pova 5 packs a large 6,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, which is a major jump from the 18W on the Pova 4. For optics, the Tecno Pova 5 gets a dual-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP primary sensor and a secondary AI lens.

Up front, there's an 8 MP selfie camera. The Tecno Pova 5 runs Android 13 out of the box with HiOS on top. The phone also features dual stereo speakers with DTS sound. There's a z-axis linear vibration motor as well as a vapour chamber and grapheme heat sink for gaming.
