Tecno Pova 6 and Pova 6 Neo Announced Globally – Helio G99 Ultimate SoC, Up to 7000mAh Battery, & More

Following the recent launch of the Tecno Pova 6 Pro, Tecno has introduced the Pova 6 and Pova 6 Neo smartphones in India. These new additions cater to budget-conscious users seeking a combination of powerful performance, immersive displays, and capable cameras, particularly for gaming enthusiasts.

Display and Performance Both the Tecno Pova 6 and Pova 6 Neo feature large 6.78-inch FHD+ displays with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for a fluid user experience. However, the Pova 6 boasts a higher quality AMOLED panel, while the Pova 6 Neo utilizes a more affordable IPS LCD screen. Under the hood, both models are powered by the MediaTek G99 Ultimate chipset, ensuring smooth performance for gaming and everyday tasks. Additionally, Dolby Atmos support enhances the audio experience, while the eye-catching designs cater to the gaming audience.

Camera Systems and Software The Tecno Pova 6 takes the lead in the camera department with a high-resolution 108MP main sensor featuring 0.7μm pixels. This is complemented by a 32MP front-facing camera for clear selfies. Dual-tone LED flash sensors further enhance low-light photography. The Pova 6 Neo offers a more modest 50MP main camera and an 8MP selfie camera, which should still be capable of capturing decent photos. Both models run on HiOS 14, a customized interface based on Android 14, ensuring access to up-to-date software features.

Battery Life and Storage Options Battery capacity is a key differentiator between the two models. The Pova 6 packs a substantial 6,000mAh battery supported by fast 70W charging, allowing users to enjoy extended gaming sessions with minimal downtime. The Pova 6 Neo prioritizes even longer battery life with its massive 7,000mAh battery, but the trade-off comes in the form of slower 33W charging.

Storage options also differ slightly. The Pova 6 comes in configurations of 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB, catering to users who require more RAM or storage space for demanding games and applications. The Pova 6 Neo offers 8GB RAM in both its 128GB and 256GB storage variants.

Color Options and Availability The Tecno Pova 6 comes in vibrant color options like Comet Green, Meteorite Grey, and Interstellar Blue. The Pova 6 Neo offers a slightly different selection with Starry Silver, Comet Black, and Comet Green available. While Tecno hasn't yet announced the official pricing and availability details for these smartphones in India, updates are expected soon.
