TECNO POVA 7 Series Goes on Sale in India at 12PM Today via Flipkart: Check Price, Specs, Offers

TECNO’s latest budget smartphone lineup—the POVA 7 and POVA 7 Pro—goes on sale today at 12 PM on Flipkart, following its launch in India last week.

While TECNO has largely focused on entry-level and budget devices, the POVA 7 Series reflects an attempt to bring in a few uncommon features for the sub-₹20,000 price range, such as wireless charging and signal optimization tools.

LED Design, High Refresh Rate Display, and Sizeable Battery

The POVA 7 Pro features a back panel with 104 mini LEDs that light up during calls, music, and charging—a design choice that offers visual feedback but may feel gimmicky to some users. Both the POVA 7 and 7 Pro sport 6.78-inch displays. The Pro version uses a 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, while the regular POVA 7 sticks with a standard FHD+ LTPS panel.

Each phone includes a 6000mAh battery, which is on the larger end for this segment. 45W wired charging is supported across the lineup, and notably, the POVA 7 Pro adds 30W wireless charging—a feature rarely seen in this price band.

Software and Connectivity Features

TECNO has integrated its in-house AI assistant, Ella, into both models. Ella now includes multilingual support, which could be useful in the Indian context, but it remains to be seen how it compares to more mature assistants like Google Assistant.

The phones also include signal-related features such as 4x4 MIMO support, VoWiFi Dual Pass, and device-to-device calling without a mobile network. These are meant to help users in low-signal areas but haven’t been widely tested yet in real-world Indian conditions.
