Tecno Pova 7 Ultra Design and Launch Timeline Leaked Ahead of Debut: Check Expected Specifications

After launching the Pova Curve 5G a few days back, Tecno appears to be readying its next move with the upcoming Pova 7 series, including the Pova 7 Ultra 5G.

While the company has yet to confirm the name or date officially, new leaks and database listings suggest that the phone is not far from launch, and could debut by the end of June.

Leaked Design Shows Distinctive Rear Camera Island

Tipster Paras Guglani shared an image of the alleged Pova 7 Ultra 5G on X (formerly Twitter), which appears to feature a triangular rear camera module, a design choice that stands out among more common rectangular or pill-shaped camera bumps. The module is bordered by what looks like an LED light strip, possibly hinting at notification lighting or gaming-related effects.

The design lines up with a teaser Tecno posted earlier this year, although the company has not officially confirmed the "Pova 7" branding or final visuals.

Expected Specs

According to the leak, the Pova 7 Ultra 5G may come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset. This would position the device in the upper mid-range tier, possibly offering improved thermals and energy efficiency over the previous generation.

The phone is also rumored to include a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, making it one of the few budget-to-mid-range phones with such a high refresh rate panel.

A 6,000mAh battery is expected to power the device, supported by 70W wired fast charging.

Google Play Console Hints at Two Variants

The Google Play Console recently listed two Tecno devices under model numbers LJ7 and LJ9, believed to be the Pova 7 5G and Pova 7 Ultra 5G respectively. According to the listing, both phones will run Android 15 out of the box and include 8GB of RAM.

The standard Pova 7 model may feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 or 7300X chipset.
