Tecno Spark 10 Pro Moon Explorer: Android Smartphone Celebrating India’s Lunar Mission Launched

To commemorate India's successful mission to the Moon, Tecno has launched a special "Moon Explorer" edition of the Tecno Spark 10 Pro Android smartphone.

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro Moon Explorer edition honors Chandrayaan's soft landing on the lunar south pole. It features a Moon-inspired dual-tone leather finish as opposed to the glass back panel on the regular. Let's look at the price, specifications, features, and availability of the new variant.

Tecno Spark 10 Pro Moon Explorer Edition Price, Availability

Tecno launched the Tecno Spark 10 Pro earlier this year. It is a feature-packed Android smartphone in the budget or affordable category. The "Moon Explorer" edition is a cosmetically enhanced version of this smartphone, intended to celebrate the success of ISRO's Chandrayaan 3 Lunar Landing Mission.

Tecno has priced the Tecno Spark 10 Pro Moon Explorer Edition at ₹11,999 for the sole variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Interestingly, the regular model with the same RAM and storage is available on Amazon and Flipkart. However, the prices are higher than ₹12,000.

Tecno has allowed pre-booking for the Tecno Spark 10 Pro Moon Explorer Edition from this week. However, the open sale of this special edition will start on September 15. It is important to note that Tecno is selling the Tecno Spark 10 Pro mainly via offline channels.

Tecno Spark 10 Pro Moon Explorer Edition Specifications, Features

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro Moon Explorer Edition features a dual-tone eco-friendly silicone-based leather back finish. The dual color scheme uses white and black that appear inspired by the Earth's Moon. Apart from the cosmetic differences, the Moon Explorer edition is identical to the regular Tecno Spark 10 Pro.

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro variants feature a 6.78-inch Full HD+ LTPS LCD screen with a 1080 x 2460 pixels resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The 1080p display has a hole punch display that houses a 32MP front-facing camera with 1440p (2K) video recording support as well as an LED flash.

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro is powered by the Mediatek Helio G88 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There's a dedicated microSD card for increasing onboard storage.

Tecno has embedded a 5000mAh battery inside the Tecno Spark 10 Pro, which supports 18W wired fast charging via a USB-C port. The smartphone ships with a charger in the retail box.

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro features a dual rear camera setup on the back, headlined by a 50MP primary camera with f/1.6 aperture. It is accompanied by a 0.08MP AI lens and an LED flash. Tecno has embedded a side-mounted fingerprint scanner in the smartphone's power button.
