TECNO Spark 50 5G Launched In India With 6500mAh Battery And Rugged Build: Check Price, Specs

TECNO has launched the Spark 50 5G in India, adding another option in the mid-range 5G segment. The company is positioning the phone around three things: battery life, durability, and connectivity in weaker network conditions.

Focus On Battery

The Spark 50 5G comes with a 6500mAh battery, which is larger than what you usually see in this segment. TECNO says it’s designed to last through a full day of use without much trouble.

To go with that, the phone supports 45W fast charging, which should help reduce downtime when you do need to plug it in.

Durability

Another area TECNO is highlighting is durability.

The phone carries a MIL-STD-810H certification, which means it has been tested for drop resistance up to 1.5 meters. It also comes with an IP64 Pro rating for protection against dust and everyday water exposure.

Connectivity Features

TECNO is also pushing a few connectivity features that go beyond standard 5G support.

There’s a feature called UPS 3.0, which is meant to improve signal performance in weak network areas. The company says this can help with faster digital payments, including UPI transactions, even when connectivity isn’t ideal.

The phone also supports 4×4 MIMO, which is designed to improve download speeds.

One of the more unusual additions is a “no network communication” feature. This allows users to stay connected with compatible devices within a range of up to 1.5 kilometers, without relying on cellular networks or Wi-Fi.

Core Specifications

The TECNO Spark 50 5G features a 6.78-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor and comes with 4GB or 6GB RAM, along with support for up to 18GB extended RAM using virtual memory. Storage is set at 128GB, with expansion support up to 2TB via microSD.

For cameras, the phone includes a 50MP rear sensor and an 8MP front camera.

It runs on Android 16 with HiOS 16 and includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Other features include a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C connectivity.
