TECNO Spark Go 2 Launches at ₹6,999 with IP64 Rating, Offline Calling, and "Ella" AI Assistant

TECNO has launched the Spark Go 2 in India, a follow-up to last year’s budget Spark Go. Priced at ₹6,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, the device will be available from Flipkart starting July 1.

While it's positioned as an affordable smartphone, TECNO has added a few surprises aimed at making the phone feel more capable than its price tag would suggest.

Android 15 and AI-Powered Features

The Spark Go 2 ships with Android 15 out of the box, layered with TECNO’s HiOS 15 skin. One of the highlights is Ella AI, TECNO’s in-house assistant that supports Indian regional languages and can perform a variety of tasks like summarizing content and solving math problems.

Ella also plays a role in the device's aim to offer four years of lag-free performance—at least according to company claims. Of course, long-term performance on budget hardware often depends more on actual software optimization than marketing assurance, so this is something we’ll have to keep an eye on.

Offline Communication with Free Link

One of the more unique features is “Free Link,” TECNO’s proprietary solution that allows Spark Go 2 users to make calls and send messages to other Spark Go or POVA devices even without a mobile network. While the use case may feel niche in urban areas, this could be helpful in rural regions or areas with poor signal coverage.

Display, Audio, and Build

The phone features a 6.67-inch HD+ Dot-In display with a 120Hz refresh rate. While the resolution is capped at 720p, the high refresh rate is unusual in this price bracket and should help with smoother scrolling and UI responsiveness.

On the audio front, you get DTS-certified dual stereo speakers, and the device retains a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is also IP64 rated for dust and splash resistance, which is a practical addition for real-world durability.

Internals and Battery

Under the hood, the Spark Go 2 runs on the UniSoC T7250 processor, an entry-level octa-core chip built on a 12nm process. It’s paired with 4GB of physical RAM and 64GB of storage, along with an option to expand RAM virtually by another 4GB. Storage is expandable via microSD.

A 5,000mAh battery powers the device, and it supports 15W charging via USB Type-C. That’s a standard combination for budget devices today and should offer a full day’s worth of usage with ease.

Cameras and Other Notables

Camera specs include a 13MP rear shooter with dual LED flash and an 8MP front camera with its own dual LED flash. It’s not going to be a photography powerhouse, but for everyday photos and video calls, it should be serviceable.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an infrared blaster. Connectivity options cover 4G VoLTE (with Carrier Aggregation), Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and USB Type-C.

Color Options and Availability

The Spark Go 2 is available in four color variants: Ink Black, Titanium Grey, Veil White, and Turquoise Green. As mentioned earlier, it will go on sale starting July 1 via Flipkart.
