These Mid-Range Smartphones Performed the Best in May 2024, According to AnTuTu

AnTuTu recently released its list of the top 10 best-performing smartphones in May 2024. However, the benchmarking platform also revealed the fastest mid-range phones last month.

Unlike the flagship list, which only consisted of the current generation, several phones on the mid-range list came from 2023, including the likes of the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, iQOO Z8, and Oppo Reno 11 5G, to name a few.

Best Performing Mid-Range Smartphones in May 2024

While the OnePlus Ace 3V with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip took the top spot on the list, several phones with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip were all left out of the list.

A questionable decision by AnTuTu as the Poco F6 5G retails for Rs 29,999 in India, which is slightly cheaper than the Realme GT 6T (Realme GT Neo 6 SE). That being said, let's move on to the list of best-performing mid-range smartphones in May 2024.

The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 appears to be the fastest mid-range chip, surpassing the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Last generation's Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC also placed high on the list, showcasing its ability to go toe-to-toe with the current generation, although its successor showed considerable gains.

The Redmi K70E with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra was the only chip that kept pace with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. In India, the Poco X6 Pro is the only smartphone to incorporate this chip. Last generation's MediaTek Dimensity 8200 also showed promise, while the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC also appears to be a capable performer.

It is worth noting that the OnePlus Ace 3V, which topped the list, was ranked 51 in the overall standings. Additionally, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 smartphones - Redmi Turbo 3, Poco F6 5G, Xiaomi CIVI 4 Pro, and iQOO Z9 Turbo - all placed above the OnePlus Ace 3V.
