These new big battery smartphones come easy on your pocket
Videocon Mobile has added a couple of new budget smartphones to its Krypton series of devices. Dubbed as Videocon Krypton V50DC and Krypton V50DA, both phones have 5-inch display and come with similar specifications. These smartphones are priced at Rs 5,999 and Rs 6,099.
In terms of specifications both Videocon Krypton V50DA and Krypton V50DC smartphones feature FWVGA display offering 854 x 480 pixels resolution, and are powered by MediaTek MT6580 quad core chipset clocked at 1.3GHz paired with Mali 400MP2 GPU. There is 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded using microSD card.
The phones run Android 5.1 Lollipop topped which is standard to phones in this range, though users also get extra software features that have been provided by the company. In terms of connectivity, there is dual SIM support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. Other features include 3,000mAh battery that should last easily for a day of mixed use.

Though both the phones are similar in specs, what brings the difference is the camera optics. The Videocon Krypton V50DA features a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 2MP front-facing snapper. Whereas, the Videocon Krypton V50DC has a higher camera megapixel count, with 8MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front-facing camera.
The Videocon Krypton V50DA and Krypton V50DC are priced at Rs. 5999 and Rs. 6099, respectively, and will be competing against the like of Spice X-Plore 525Q priced at Rs 5,499 and Xolo Era A priced at Rs 5,777, to name a few. These affordable smartphones are consumer-focused devices targeted at mass markets in the country. The company says that their focus is to introduce high on style smartphones on regular intervals to keep the momentum ongoing in Indian smartphone market.
