Unlocked HTC 10 Units Start Receiving Android 7.0 Nougat Update
Good news for HTC 10 users. Android 7.0 Nougat update incoming.
Earlier this year, HTC announced that this year's flagship smartphone, the HTC 10 will be the company's first smartphone among others to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. It has also stated that the update will be rolled out in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Keeping its promise, the company has today rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the unlocked HTC 10 units. The company's VP of product management, Mo Versi took it to Twitter to announce the same, his tweet read "Happy Thanksgiving! HTC 10 unlocked owners will receive Nougat OS update tomorrow morning! Enjoy!"

His tweet specifically didn't mention a particular location which may mean that the update is being rolled out globally. That being said, the update is being rolled out only to unlocked smartphones and the carrier locked ones will get the update sometime in 2017.
The HTC One M9 and HTC One A9 are among the next set of smartphones that will receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
HTC is the third company to roll out the Nougat update to its smartphones following Lenovo and LG (for Moto Z and LG G5 respectively). Currently, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL are the only smartphones to come with Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box in India.
