Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC Powers Realme 12 Series
According to the Weibo post by Digital Chat Station, the Realme 12 series is set to run on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. This mid-range 5G mobile chipset boasts a prime CPU speed of 2.63GHz, complemented by three performance cores running at speeds of up to 2.4GHz, and four efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
Imaging Capabilities
The standout feature revealed by the tipster is the camera setup. The Realme 12 Pro+, the flagship model of the series, is expected to feature a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera, offering an impressive 3x optical zoom.
Meanwhile, the Realme 12 Pro is speculated to sport a Sony IMX709 sensor with 2x optical zoom.
Pricing Speculations
Digital Chat Station previously hinted at the Realme 12 series being positioned in the mid-range smartphone segment with an expected price of around CNY 2,000 (approximately Rs. 23,000). This aligns with Realme's strategy for providing feature-rich devices at competitive price points.
Earlier this year, the Realme 11 series demonstrated the brand's dedication to providing good hardware at reasonable prices. Running on Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 custom skin, these devices featured 5,000mAh batteries. The Realme 11 Pro+ boasted a remarkable 200MP triple rear camera setup, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC.
Realme 12 Series Launch
The launch of the Realme 12 series is highly anticipated, with expectations that it will follow the unveiling of the Realme GT 5 Pro in November. The Realme 11 series was unveiled in China in May and subsequently launched in India, showcasing Realme's global reach and appeal.
