Vivo's Vice President of Product, Huang Tao, has revealed an ambitious project through a Weibo post: a device designed to be "a professional camera that can make calls." This suggests a phone that will combine high-end photographic capabilities with the functionality of a smartphone, marking a significant step forward for Vivo.

High-End Specs Expected for the X100 Ultra The rumored specifications for the X100 Ultra are impressive. It's expected to boast a Quad HD+ E7 AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

In terms of photography, it could include a 50 MP main camera with Sony's Lytia LYT-900 sensor, along with an ultrawide lens, a telephoto lens, and a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens with 4.3x optical zoom and 200x digital zoom.

Satellite connectivity is also rumored, adding a new layer of functionality to its communication capabilities.

Vivo X100 Pro Offers a Hint of What's to Come To get an idea, the Vivo X100 Pro features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1B colors, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3000 nits peak brightness, offering a 1260 x 2800 pixel resolution and 452 ppi density. It runs on Android 14 with MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset and an octa-core CPU, paired with 256GB/12GB RAM to 1TB/16GB RAM storage options using UFS 4.0.

The phone boasts a triple rear camera setup with 50MP wide, periscope telephoto, and ultrawide lenses, equipped with Zeiss optics and features like LED flash and HDR. It supports 8K and 4K video recording and has a 32MP front camera with HDR and 1080p video capabilities.

Lastly, it has a 5400mAh battery with 100W wired charging (1-50% in 12 minutes) and 50W wireless and reverse wired charging.
