Vivo S17 Arrives on Geekbench With Snapdragon 778G+ Chipset; S17 Pro Camera Details Revealed

The Vivo S17 series, comprising the vanilla Vivo S17, S17t, and the S17 Pro, is scheduled to launch in China on May 31. Ahead of the launch, the Vivo S17 was spotted on Geekbench, revealing a few key specs.

Vivo S17 Features

The Vivo S17 was spotted on Geekbench bearing the model number V2283A. The smartphone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor codenamed Lahaina. It is an octa-core SoC with a peak clock speed of 2.52GHz.

The chipset will include an Adreno 642L GPU. It will also be equipped with three performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 1.80GHz. Going by the SoC details, we can expect the processor to be a Snapdragon 778G+.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Vivo S17 will have a 12GB RAM option. It may be accompanied by 256GB of internal storage. As for the operating system, the device is expected to run Android 13 out of the box, with a layer of Origin OS 3 on top.

As for the Geekbench scores, the Vivo S17 managed to score 817 points in the single-core test. Meanwhile, the smartphone bagged 2607 points in the multi-core test.

Vivo S17 Pro Camera

Moving on to the Vivo S17 Pro, the brand has started teasing the smartphone's camera ahead of the launch. According to a post on Weibo, the smartphone will feature a dual camera setup with a programmable LED flash at the rear.

At the front, the S17 Pro will feature two LED flashes housed in the top bezel. While the front shooter will feature a 50MP lens with f/2.0 aperture, the rear camera will include a telephoto lens with 2x zoom. The brand also mentions a "super-sensing spectral sensor" for accurate color reproduction.

Other details about the S17 and S17 Pro are still under wraps. With two more days until launch, we can expect more details about the S17 series of smartphones to surface online.
