Vivo S20, S20 Pro Announced with 120Hz OLED Display, IP64 Rating: Will Launch as Vivo V50 Series in India
The Vivo S20 series has officially been unveiled in China. The Vivo S20 and S20 Pro arrive on the back of the Vivo X200 series. Additionally, the Vivo S20 series will be unveiled in India as the Vivo V50 series.
Moreover, the Vivo S20 Pro will be the first smartphone in Vivo's 'S' series to feature a periscope-telephoto lens. On the other hand, the Vivo S20 features the largest battery of any Vivo smartphone to date.

Vivo S20 Series Pricing
The Vivo S20 price in China starts from CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs 26,800) for the base 8GB/256GB model. Moreover, the Vivo S20 Pro price in China starts from CNY 3,399 (roughly Rs 39,650) for the 12GB/256GB variant.
The Vivo S20 is offered in Phoenix Feather Gold, Purple Air from the East, and Pine Smoke Ink shades. On the other hand, the Vivo S20 Pro comes in Phoenix Feather Gold, Jade Dew White, and Pine Smoke Ink colour options. We expect the Vivo S20 series to make its debut in India as the Vivo V50 series in the first quarter of 2025.
Vivo S20 Pro Specifications
The Vivo S20 Pro is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Vivo S20 Pro packs a 5,500 mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging support. The phone runs on OriginOS 5 based on Android 15 out of the box.
The Vivo S20 Pro sports a 6.67-inch 1.5K (2800 × 1260 pixels) Q10 curved OLED display with a pixel density of 460 PPI and HDR10+ support. Moreover, the screen boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2000Hz instant touch sampling rate. The display features a peak brightness of 5,000 nits and 3840Hz high frequency dimming. The phone also comes with an improved cooling system and dual stereo speakers.

For optics, the Vivo S20 Pro is equipped with a triple-camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor with CIPA 4.5 camera-level image stabilization, similar to what we saw on the Vivo X200 Pro. The Vivo S20 Pro also boasts a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP Sony IMX882 perisocpe-telephoto unit with the same stabilization as the main camera.
Up front, the Vivo S20 Pro boasts a 50MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone also features an IP64 rating for resistance to dust and water. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G, 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, an in-display fingerprint reader, a USB Type-C port, NFC, and more.
