Vivo S5 Teaser Reveals Diamond-Shaped Triple Rear Cameras: Launch Expected Soon
Vivo 'S' smartphone lineup debuted earlier this year with the launch of the S1 and the S1 Pro. Now, the company is gearing up to add a new model in the 'S' series dubbed Vivo S5 which claims to bring a unique design element. The upcoming handset is likely to go official in China sometime soon and will feature a diamond-shaped camera module. Here is everything you need to know:
Vivo S5 Teased Online With A Diamond-Shaped Camera
The upcoming device has been teased by Cai Xukun who is a popular Chinese singer. The teaser reveals the rear-panel featuring a triple-rear camera module with a diamond-shaped design. Xukun, who is also the brand ambassador for the Vivo S1 series was seen holding the device with a gradient rear panel.
This indicates that the remaining design aspect could be similar to that of the previous Vivo S series smartphones. As of now, the only information we have on the Vivo S5 is about its gradient rear panel and the diamond-shaped camera setup accompanied by an LED flash and laser focus.
Also, Vivo has not revealed any official launch date, but the handset is likely to go official in the coming months. The 'S' series is a well-rounded mid-range smartphone lineup by Vivo. Both the Vivo S1 and the Vivo S1 Pro are equipped with some capable hardware and retail at reasonable price tags. Only the former is available in India. Following are its specifications and features:
Vivo S1 Key Hardware And Software Features
The Vivo S1 sports a 6.38-inch AMOLED panel with a 19::9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2340 pixels FHD+ resolution. The device offers a triple-rear camera setup that packs a 16MP primary sensor with an f/1.78 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
The camera features include HDR, Panorama, Portrait mode, 210@30fps, and 1080@30fps video recording. For selfies and video calling, it is equipped with a 32MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
The handset is backed by an octa-core MediaTek MT678 chipset paired with Mali-G52 GPU, up to GB RAM and 128GB storage. It ships with Android Pie-based Fun Touch interface. The Vivo S1 is kept alive by a 4,500 mAh battery with quick charge support.
