As promised, Vivo has today launched the S50 and S50 Pro Mini in China. Both phones come with Snapdragon 8 series chips, 6500 mAh batteries, and Android 16 OS. Let's check their detailed features, pricing, and global launch details.

Vivo S50 Specifications

The Vivo S50 features a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits HBM brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

For imaging, the phone has a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, while the front houses a 50MP selfie camera. It packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast wired charging.

Other features include a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. The phone also comes with dual stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, and IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Lastly, it measures 7.59mm in dimensions and weighs 197 grams.

Vivo S50 Pro Mini Specifications

The Vivo S50 Pro Mini sports a smaller 6.31-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering up to 1,800 nits HBM brightness and 2,160Hz PWM dimming. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

For optics, the smartphone packs a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. For selfies, there is a 50MP front camera. The device is backed by the same 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging.

Other features include a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, and a metal frame with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Lastly, the phone maintains a slim 8.1mm profile and weighs 192 grams.

Vivo S50 and S50 Pro Mini Price

The Vivo S50 starts at 2,999 yuan (around ₹38,500) for the 12GB/256GB variant, while the 12GB/512GB model is priced at 3,299 yuan (around ₹42,400). The 16GB/256GB variant costs 3,399 yuan (around ₹43,725), and the top-end 16GB/512GB option is priced at 3,599 yuan (around ₹46,200).

Meanwhile, the Vivo S50 Pro mini is priced at 3,699 yuan (around ₹47,400) for the 12GB/256GB variant, 3,999 yuan (around ₹51,100) for the 12GB/512GB model, and 4,299 yuan (around ₹55,100) for the 16GB/512GB configuration. The smartphones are available for pre-orders starting today (Dec 15) and will go on sale in China from December 19.

Moreover, there is no official word regarding their global debuts. Reports suggest that the Vivo S50 could make its global debut as the Vivo V70, while the S50 Pro Mini is expected to be rebranded as the Vivo X300 FE for the international market, including India.
