Vivo S50 and S50 Pro Mini Launch Date Announced: Check Features and India Launch Details
Vivo is gearing up to launch the S50 and S50 Pro Mini soon in China. The company has already revealed the design of both models. Even leaks and rumours have given us enough of an idea of what to expect. Now, the brand confirms the launch date of the upcoming S50 series.
Vivo S50 and S50 Pro Mini Launch Date Announced
The Vivo S50 and the S50 Pro Mini are set to launch in China on December 15. The S50 will come in Space Black, White, Blue, and Purple colours, while the S50 Pro mini will be available in Space Black, White and Purple shades. In terms of design, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini will feature a horizontal camera module similar to the iPhone Air, while the standard S50 will come with a rectangular camera layout.
Vivo S50 and Vivo S50 Pro Mini: What We Know So Far
In terms of specs, the Vivo S50 is rumoured to sport a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device could be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with 16GB of RAM.
The smartphone will support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. For imaging, there will be a triple-camera setup including a 50MP primary sensor with OIS support, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope-telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom. Up front, the phone is expected to get a 50MP selfie camera. The Vivo S50 will also boast an IP69 rating for resistance to dust and water and a metal frame.
Moreover, the Vivo S50 will likely pack a massive silicon carbon battery, anywhere between 6500mAh to 7000mAh, with 90W fast charging support. It is also expected to run Android 16 with OriginOS 6. It's also tipped to come in black, white, blue, and purple.
On the other side, the Pro Mini version is expected to sport a 6.31-inch flat AMOLED display. It will powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
For imaging, it's said to include a VCS light-sensitive main sensor, a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide lens. Upfront, it may offer 50MP selfie camera. Other features will likely include a 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor 2.0, IP68 and IP69 ratings.
Vivo S50 Series India Launch Details (Expected)
While there is no official word regarding the S50 series India launch, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini is expected to come as the Vivo X300 FE in the global markets, including India. On the other hand, the Vivo S50 is tipped to launch globally and in India as the Vivo V70. Both phones are rumoured to make their debut in India and globally in the first quarter of 2026.
