Vivo S60 Specs Leaked Ahead of Launch; Could Launch in India as Vivo V80

Vivo may already be preparing the successor to the recently launched Vivo V70 series.

According to tipster Debayan Roy (@Gadgetsdata), the upcoming Vivo S60 is expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, a 200MP primary camera, and a larger battery. The phone is also tipped to launch globally as the Vivo V80.

Vivo S60 Specs Leaked Ahead of Launch

If that happens, the V80 could end up sitting above the current Vivo V70 lineup, which launched in India earlier this year with ZEISS cameras, a 6,500mAh battery, and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipsets, depending on the model.

Vivo S60 Leak Points to Camera Upgrades

The leaked specifications suggest Vivo is pushing harder on camera hardware this time.

The Vivo S60 is tipped to feature a 200MP main camera alongside a 50MP telephoto sensor. While the exact sensor details haven’t surfaced yet, that would be a noticeable jump compared to the Vivo V70 series, which currently uses a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera.

The phone is also expected to retain Vivo’s focus on durability with IP69 certification.

Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Expected Again

Performance-wise, the Vivo S60 is tipped to run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

That’s the same chipset currently powering the Vivo V70 Elite in India. In daily use, the chip has already proven capable of handling gaming, multitasking, and heavier workloads without major compromises.

The display is said to measure 6.59 inches and could feature a 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Bigger Battery Could Be Another Focus

Battery capacity hasn’t been revealed yet, but the leak specifically mentions a “bigger battery.”

That’s interesting because the Vivo V70 series already packs a large 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W fast charging. So if Vivo is indeed increasing battery size further, endurance could become one of the bigger selling points of the upcoming device.

For now, Vivo hasn’t officially confirmed the existence of either the Vivo S60 or the Vivo V80.
