Chinese OEM Vivo has now announced their V1Max device in India priced at Rs. 21,980. The smartphone was initially unveiled alongside the Vivo V1 back in July. In fact the Vivo V1 is available for sale in India at Rs 17,980.

Vivo V1 Max with Snapdragon 615, 13MP camera launched in India

The Vivo V1Max is powered by an octacore Snapdragon 615 under the hood with core clocked at 1.5GHz each. The GPU is an Adreno 405. The display on the other had is larger than the 5 inch unit found in the V1. Rather it is a 5.5 inch HD (1280x720) display. The device further features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. Memory expansion is available via MicroSD card slot.

The optics are handled by a 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras -similar to the Vivo V1. The cameras come with support for face recognition technology, beautification mode etc. The runs on the same Funtouch 2.1 UI on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop like its smaller version, Vivo V1. However, it features a larger 5.5-inch IPS display with same HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, along with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.

Vivo V1Max features the same 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing camera as the V1. The cameras are supported by face recognition technology for gender Beautification mode. The company has even managed to fit in a fairly large 2720 mAh battery in a profile that is only 6.79mm in width.

The V1 Max like many other Vivo devices come with power packed audio performance. To be precise the smartphone's sound system is powered by the Iconic Hi-Fi Audio chip. Add to that features like Smart Wake 2.0 and Smart Screen Shots for long screen clips, funny sreenshots and screen recording.

For connectivity the device supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and GPS/ A-GPS. It runs on the company's own FunTouch 2.1 UI with Android Lollipop running below. Most of the specifications of the V1 Max are similar to its smaller sibling -V1, except in the display size, chipset and battery.
