Vivo V17 India Variant Confirmed To Pack Punch-Hole Display, L-Shaped Quad-Rear Cameras
Vivo silently introduced the third handset in its 'V' series called the V17 recently in the Russian market. And yesterday, the company sent out media invites for its launch in India on December 9. The rumor mill has been churning out some distinct design elements compared to its Russian counterpart. Now, ahead of its launch, some official images confirm the changes in design.
Vivo V17 Indian Variant Confirmed With Punch-Hole Display
Unlike the Vivo V17's Russian variant that comes with a waterdrop notch, the Indian model is confirmed with a punch-hole display. The in-display camera cutout is seen on the top right corner of the official image scored by 91Mobiles.
This is not the only difference the V17 in India will come with. The leaked images suggest an L-shaped camera with four sensors packed within a square-shaped module. For reference, the international model comes with a diamond-shaped quad-rear camera module.
Also, going by the images, the handset seems to have a gradient rear panel. The handset is speculated to come in Midnight Ocean and Glacier Ice color options. The report further suggests some of the key features that the Vivo V17 will offer in India.
The leaked hardware includes a Snapdragon 675 chipset. Notably, this is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 665 SoC of the international model. The processor is likely to be paired up with 8GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage.
The 6.44-inch OLED iView display is said to offer an FHD+ resolution and 91.38 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display protection type is unknown at the moment. However, it is likely to incorporate a fingerprint scanner for security.
At the rear, the L-shaped quad-cameras are tipped with a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP depth, and 2MP macro sensor. Upfront, the punch-hole is speculated to pack a 32MP snapper for selfies. The handset will run on a 4,500 mAh battery that will support 18W fast charging.
