Vivo just launched its V30 series in India, aiming to capture the mid-range market with a combination of impressive features at competitive pricing. The series comprises two models: the V30 and the V30 Pro, both offering large displays, capable processors, and versatile camera systems.
Both V30 (Review) and V30 Pro boast a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. This ensures a visually captivating experience, whether you're streaming videos, gaming, or browsing the web. The displays also reach an impressive peak brightness of 2800 nits, making content easily visible even in bright outdoor conditions.

The V30 features a flat AMOLED display, while the V30 Pro takes it a step further with a curved AMOLED panel for a more immersive viewing experience. Both phones are available in three color options - Andaman Blue, Peacock Green, and Classic Black - with the V30 Pro offering an additional Fluorite AG Glass finish on the Classic Black model for a premium touch.
Performance
Under the hood, the V30 series packs a punch with different processors catering to diverse user needs. The V30 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, which offers a balance between performance and battery efficiency. This makes it suitable for everyday tasks, multimedia consumption, and even some light gaming.
The V30 Pro takes things up a notch with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor. The V30 series caters to photography enthusiasts with a triple-camera setup on the back and a capable 50MP front camera. The V30 features a 50MP main sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for capturing sharp and steady photos, accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide sensor for capturing expansive landscapes and a 2MP portrait sensor for creating artistic bokeh effects.

The V30 Pro elevates the photography experience further with a 50MP main sensor featuring the Sony IMX920 sensor, renowned for its high image quality. It also boasts a 50MP ultrawide sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, allowing users to capture distant subjects with greater detail. Additionally, the V30 Pro incorporates ZEISS optics for enhanced image processing and the signature ZEISS-style portrait bokeh effect.
Software and Battery Life
Both V30 and V30 Pro run the latest Android 14 operating system with Vivo's custom Funtouch OS 14 on top. This interface offers a user-friendly experience with various customization options. The phones are also promised to receive two Android updates and security updates for three years, ensuring a relatively long software support life.

In terms of battery life, both phones come equipped with a 5000mAh battery, offering ample power for a full day's use. They also support 80W fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up the battery when needed.

The Vivo V30 starts at Rs. 33,999 (around $425) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The price climbs to Rs. 35,999 and Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage models, respectively. The V30 Pro starts at Rs. 41,999 (around $525) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, reaching Rs. 46,999 for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage model.
