Vivo V40 Series Design, Battery, Colour Options Officially Revealed: V40 Pro Camera Specs Confirmed
The Vivo V40 series is set to launch in India soon, as teased by the company. Recent reports indicated the smartphones' arrival, and now the firm has unveiled key details about the Vivo V40 Pro. It is also worth noting that the vanilla Vivo V40 is already available in Europe.
The Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro are expected to share similar designs, according to an official microsite. However, the Pro variant will feature a triple rear camera setup, while the standard model will likely have two rear cameras.

Vivo V40 Pro Cameras
According to the microsite, the Vivo V40 Pro will feature a triple-rear camera setup co-developed by ZEISS. Like the flagship Vivo X100 Pro (Review), the upcoming V40 Pro will also place a heavy emphasis on portrait photography, allowing users to shoot portraits at five different focal lengths.
For optics, the Vivo V40 Pro will feature a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor with OIS. The main camera will be paired with a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP Sony IMX816 telephoto-portrait shooter. Up front, the Vivo V40 Pro will use a 50MP "ZEISS Group Selfie Camera" with AF.

This confirms Vivo is collaborating with ZEISS on both the front and rear cameras of the Vivo V40 Pro. Additionally, the new telephoto lens will support 2x optical zoom and 50x "ZEISS Hyper Zoom".
Vivo V40 Series: What We Know So Far!
The base Vivo V40 will be available in three colours: Ganges Blue, Lotus Purple, and Titanium Grey. However, the Vivo V40 Pro will come in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey shades only. Additionally, the Vivo V40 series will also pack a massive 5,500 mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support.
According to an official microsite, the Vivo V40 Pro is teased to feature a slim design with "comprehensive cushioning" structure claimed to protect against bumps from all angles. The Vivo V40 series will also feature an IP68-rated build for dust and water resistance.

While the global version of the Vivo V40 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, reports suggest that the Vivo V40 Pro could use a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chip, the latter of which being significantly more powerful. Apart from the cameras, other specs about the Vivo V40 and V40 series are expected to be the same.
