Vivo V40 With ZEISS Optics and IP68 Rating Goes Official; Check Price and Availability

Vivo has launched a new V-series smartphone dubbed the V40 globally. The highlight of the handset is its camera setup, which comes with a collaboration with ZEISS. However, the Vivo V40 does not offer a charging adapter in the box. Let's take a look at the pricing and features of the latest Vivo phone.

Vivo V40 Specifications

The Vivo V40 features a 6.78-inch Curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone doesn't support any microSD card for additional storage expansion.

For imaging, the Vivo V40 has a dual rear camera system that includes a 50MP OIS-enabled main camera and a 50MP ultra wide-angle camera with autofocus. Upfront, it gets a 50MP camera for selfies and videos. The device also packs a 5,500 mAh battery unit with support for 80W fast charging; however, users need to buy the charging adapter separately.

Moreover, the Vivo V40 has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone measures just 7.58 mm in thickness and weighs 190 grams. It also comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Vivo V40 Price and Availability

The Vivo V40 price starts at €599 (roughly Rs 53,000) and is said to go on sale in the European market starting next month. Further, it can be purchased in two colour options namely - Stellar Silver and Nebula Purple. As of now, there is no information on whether the brand has any plan to launch the Vivo V40 in India.

The brand recently unveiled the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in the country, which is now up for grabs on Flipkart, Amazon, Vivo's e-store, and other leading retailers.
