Vivo V40e Teased to Launch Soon With 5,500mAh Battery, Dual 50MP Camera, and 120Hz Display in India

Vivo is preparing to launch its latest smartphone, the Vivo V40e, in India soon. While the company has yet to announce an official launch date, it has shared key details about the handset's design, color options, and some notable features.

Vivo V40e Design and Color Options

According to the official teaser on Vivo India's website, the Vivo V40e will be available in two color options: Mint Green and Royal Bronze. The design appears to follow the aesthetic cues of its predecessors, the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro, which launched earlier this year.

The phone features a vertically aligned, pill-shaped rear camera module and a curved display. These design elements give it a modern look, aligned with the current trend of sleek, high-end smartphones.

Expected Price and Launch in India

The Vivo V40e is expected to launch in India by the end of September 2024. A report from Smartprix suggests that the phone will be available in two configurations: 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage, and 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage.

The price is rumored to be between ₹20,000 and ₹30,000, positioning it as a mid-range device aimed at consumers looking for premium features at an accessible price.

Key Features of the Vivo V40e

The Vivo V40e is set to come with several standout features. It will sport a 6.77-inch full-HD+ 3D curved display with a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels. The screen will also have a 120Hz refresh rate, a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio, and HDR10+ support. Additionally, the AMOLED display is expected to reach a peak brightness level of 4,500 nits, with a High Brightness Mode reaching up to 1,200 nits.

Under the hood, the SmartPrix report also suggests that the Vivo V40e will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC and will likely run on Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14. The phone is also expected to come with an IP65-rated build, making it resistant to dust and water.

In the optics department, the Vivo V40e will feature a dual rear camera setup. The primary sensor will be 50 megapixels, accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. There is also an Aura Light unit, which enhances the lighting for photos. On the front, the phone will boast a 50-megapixel selfie camera, making it an appealing choice for photography enthusiasts.

Lastly, Vivo has confirmed that the V40e will house a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. This large battery capacity, paired with rapid charging, ensures that users won't have to worry about running out of juice during the day.
