Vivo V50 Lite 5G Spotted on Multiple Certifications, Hinting at an Imminent Launch
Vivo recently launched the V50 (first impressions) in India, but the Pro variant has been missing from the lineup so far. However, it looks like the company is gearing up to introduce the Vivo V50 Lite 5G, as the device has now surfaced across multiple certification platforms worldwide.
While Vivo hasn't officially confirmed its release, the V50 Lite 5G has appeared on FCC (USA), Malaysia's SIRIM, and Thailand's NBTC databases, signaling an impending launch in several markets.

What the Certifications Reveal
The FCC listing confirms that the Vivo V50 Lite 5G (model number V2440) will support 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G connectivity, along with dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth, and NFC support. It also reveals that the phone will be powered by a 6,500mAh battery (model BA93), a significant upgrade in battery capacity compared to its predecessor.
The SIRIM certification confirms that the phone is officially headed to Malaysia, while Thailand's NBTC listing suggests the device will also launch in Southeast Asia.
What to Expect from the Vivo V50 Lite 5G
Vivo has remained tight-lipped about the V50 Lite 5G's official specs, but based on previous leaks and its predecessor-the V40 Lite-we can make some educated guesses about what the phone will offer.
Performance and Hardware
Reports indicate that the V50 Lite 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM. This would be a notable shift from the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor that powered the V40 Lite. The phone is also expected to run on Android 15.
Display and Design
If Vivo continues with its existing design language, the V50 Lite 5G could feature:
- A 6.78-inch AMOLED display
- 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals
- FHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels)
- Curved edges with a punch-hole selfie camera
These specs align with the V40 Lite, which had a similar display setup.
Camera Setup
The V40 Lite featured:
- 50MP main camera (Sony IMX882 sensor)
- 8MP ultra-wide lens
- 2MP macro sensor
- 32MP front-facing camera
If the V50 Lite 5G follows suit, we can expect a similar triple-camera system, possibly with improvements in image processing and software features.
Battery and Charging
The V50 Lite 5G is confirmed to pack a 6,500mAh battery, which is a significant jump from the 5,500mAh battery in the V40 Lite. While the V40 Lite supported 44W fast charging, there's no official word yet on the charging speeds for the V50 Lite 5G. If Vivo plans to enhance battery longevity, we might see similar or slightly improved fast-charging technology.
When Will the Vivo V50 Lite 5G Launch?
With multiple certifications secured, it's clear that the Vivo V50 Lite 5G is in its final stages before launch. While there's no official date yet, devices usually hit the market a few weeks after receiving key regulatory approvals.
