Vivo V70, Vivo V70 Elite Launch Date in India Set for February 19: Check Price Range and Full Specifications

Vivo has officially announced the launch date of the V70 series in India. The line-up will include the Vivo V70 and the Vivo V70 Elite, the first 'Elite’ phone to grace the brand’s V series. The upcoming Vivo V70 series will feature Snapdragon chips, triple-camera setups co-developed with ZEISS, and silicon carbon batteries.

Vivo V70 Series Launch Date and Expected Price in India

The Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite are launching in India on February 19 at 12 pm (IST). Following its launch, the Vivo V70 series will go on sale in India through Amazon and Flipkart.

We expect the Vivo V70 price in India to start from under Rs 40,000. On the other hand, the Vivo V70 Elite price in India will fall in the sub-50K segment, sitting just below the recently launched Vivo X200T.

Vivo V70, Vivo V70 Elite Cameras

Both V70 and V70 Elite use Sony sensors, tuned in partnership with ZEISS, as Vivo looks to improve colour handling, detail retention and stability across photos and videos.

The telephoto system uses a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto Camera based on the Sony IMX882 sensor. It delivers 3X optical zoom and up to 100X digital zoom and is tuned for night events, such as evening festivals or indoor ceremonies, where lighting is often inconsistent and challenging.

The main camera is also 50MP, tagged as a ZEISS OIS Main Camera using the Sony IMX766 sensor. This 1.3 cm sensor size is designed to keep colours consistent and footage stable during handheld shooting. The Vivo V70 Series records 4K 60fps video and allows smooth switching between 1X, 2X and 3X zoom while filming. The V70 series will also feature an 8MP ZEISS ultrawide camera and a 50MP group selfie camera.

Beyond cameras, Vivo is targeting heavy users with the V70 Elite. This model runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The Vivo V70 will use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip and is also expected to feature faster RAM and storage standards than its predecessor.

On the software side, the V70 Elite will ship with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, and vivo promises 4 OS updates and 6 years of security updates. The Vivo V70 Series also brings an AI Photography Suite, which includes “AI Magic Weather” and the India-only “AI Holi Portrait”, aimed at capturing local festivals with enhanced effects.

The Vivo V70 Series keeps the 6500mAh battery capacity seen on the V60 and continues to support 90W fast charging. Protection also remains a focus, with IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance ratings. A 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning system sits under the display for biometric unlocking and works alongside other security features.
