Vivo V70 Price in India Revealed Ahead of Launch on February 19: Major Price Hike Expected Over Vivo V60

The Vivo V70 series is set to make its debut in India next week on February 19. The line-up will include the Vivo V70 and for the first time, the Vivo 70 Elite. Vivo has been gradually revealing specifications of the Vivo V70 series, although their pricing is still under wraps.

However, the Vivo V70 Elite's full pricing recently leaked by tipster Sanju Choudhary. Now the tipster is back at it, giving us a detailed look at the pricing of the vanilla V70, which if accurate will signal a major price hike over the Vivo V60 (Review).

Vivo V70 Price in India (Expected)

According to Choudhary's post on X, the Vivo V70 price in India will start from Rs 45,999 for the base 8GB/256GB model. The post also reveals that the Vivo V70 will come in two more configurations:

• 12GB/256GB: Rs 48,999
• 12GB/512GB: Rs 52,999

This marks a major price hike for the Vivo 70 considering its predecessor, the Vivo V60, fetched a launch price of Rs 36,999. The Vivo V70 will come in two shades in India: Lemon Yellow and Passion Red.

Vivo V70 Elite Price in India (Expected)

To recall, the tipster revealed that the Vivo V70 Elite price in India will start from Rs 51,999 for the base 8GB/256GB model. Moreover, the Vivo V70 Elite will also come in two more configurations:

• 12GB/256GB: Rs 54,999
• 12GB/512GB: Rs 59,999

The Vivo V70 Elite will be offered in Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black colour options in India. The recent price hike for the Vivo V70 series is down to the current memory crisis, which is seeing most smartphones across segments getting higher pricing due to rising RAM costs.

Vivo V70 Series Specifications: What We Know So Far

Vivo has already confirmed that the V70 Elite will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. On the flip side, the Vivo V70 will opt for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The V70 series will feature an X-axis linear motor for 4D vibrations.

The Vivo V70 series will also pack a 6,500mAh silicon carbon battery with 90W wired fast charging support. The two phones will also come with bypass charging to ensure the phone doesn't overheat when gaming and charging simultaneously. The Vivo V70 series will also sport a 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen will feature a 459 PPI pixel density and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits.

For optics, the Vivo V70 series will feature the triple-camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. A 50MP front camera is also part of the setup.

The Vivo V70 series will run Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box, with Vivo promising four years of OS updates and six years of regular security patches.
