Vivo V70, V70 Elite, Y21, Y400 Price in India Hiked by Up to Rs 4,000: Check New Prices
If you've had your eye on a Vivo V70 or V70 Elite, you might want to act fast, because the price has gone up. Tipster Sanju Choudhary (@saaaanjjjuuu) shared that Vivo has revised pricing across the V70 lineup along with a couple of Y-series phones, and the jump goes as high as Rs 4,000 on some variants.

V70 Elite Gets the Biggest Hike
Both V70 Elite variants are now Rs 4,000 costlier. The 8GB/256GB model has moved from Rs 54,999 to Rs 58,999, while the 12GB/256GB version is now Rs 63,999, up from Rs 59,999.
That puts the top variant just shy of Rs 64,000, which is firmly flagship territory at this point.
The Regular V70 Isn't Spared Either
The base V70 has gone up too. The 8GB/256GB variant is now Rs 53,999, up Rs 4,000 from Rs 49,999. The 12GB/256GB option has gone from Rs 53,999 to Rs 56,999, a Rs 3,000 jump.
So the V70 now starts above Rs 50,000, a threshold it used to sit comfortably under.
Y21 and Y400 See Smaller Increases
The Y21's 6GB/128GB variant only went up by Rs 1,000, from Rs 20,999 to Rs 21,999. Not huge, but it does push the phone past the Rs 21,000 line.
The Y400 saw bigger changes. The 8GB/128GB model is now Rs 31,999, up from Rs 28,999. The 8GB/256GB variant has gone from Rs 31,999 to Rs 34,999. Both are Rs 3,000 increases.
Why Phones Are Getting Costlier Right Now
This isn't just a Vivo thing. Smartphone prices across the board have been climbing through 2026, and the biggest reason comes down to memory chips. A surge in DRAM and NAND prices has hit smartphone makers hard, with memory vendors shifting manufacturing capacity toward AI data centre components like high-bandwidth memory, leaving less capacity for the standard chips that go into phones. That's pushed up the bill of materials for nearly every brand.
If you're planning a purchase, it might be worth locking in current prices sooner rather than later, since this trend doesn't look like it's slowing down.
