Vivo V80 Launch Date in India Set for October 6: Zeiss Optics, 7200mAh Battery, 1.5K OLED Display Confirmed

Vivo is set to launch the V80 in India in the first week of October. The latest V-Series smartphone focuses on camera performance, battery life and design, with ZEISS-tuned cameras, a 7,200mAh battery, a high-refresh-rate OLED display and OriginOS 7. Vivo has already confirmed several key specifications ahead of the launch, while pricing will be announced at the event.

Vivo V80 Launch Date

The Vivo V80 launch date in India is set for October 6 at 12 pm IST. The phone will be available through Vivo's website, Amazon India, Flipkart and offline retail stores.

Officialy pricing will be announced during the October 6 launch event. However, we expect the Vivo V80 price in India to start from under Rs 60,000.

Vivo V80 Camera Features

The Vivo V80 will feature a 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera using Sony's LYTIA 700V sensor. It will be paired with a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera with OIS, 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

The rear setup will also include a ZEISS ultrawide camera, while selfies will be handled by a 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie camera with autofocus and a 92-degree field of view.

For video recording, the phone supports 4K Cinematic Video and 4K 60fps recording. Vivo is also adding more than 30 AI-powered imaging tools, including AI Diwali Portrait 2.0, Pet Pals, Snap Note, Security Shield, Live Sticker Collage and AI Creative Camera.

Vivo V80 Display and Design

The smartphone sports a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, support for 1.07 billion colours and a claimed peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. It also supports a 1-nit ultra-low brightness mode.

The display has 1.25mm bezels, while the rear uses a one-piece cold-carved glass panel with a floating camera module. Colour options include Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black.

Vivo V80 Battery and Charging

The V80 packs a 7,200mAh battery, which Vivo says is the largest battery used in a V-Series phone. The company claims up to 14 hours of continuous navigation and up to 39.5 hours of local video playback.

Charging is handled by 90W FlashCharge, with Vivo claiming a 50 percent charge in around 30 minutes using Fast Charging Mode. The Vivo V80 will be the first V-Series smartphone to ship with OriginOS 7 out of the box.
