Vivo V80 Lite India Launch Tipped Through Teaser Image: Specifications Suggest a Rebranded Version of Vivo S2
Vivo appears to be preparing to expand its V-series lineup with the Vivo V80 Lite 5G. While reports suggest that the broader Vivo V80 series launch could be delayed, the Lite model may arrive ahead of the rest of the lineup. Vivo has reportedly started teasing the smartphone in Pakistan, while an offline retailer in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh, has also shared a teaser on Instagram.
The teaser reveal a curved display, but Vivo has kept most details about the upcoming smartphone under wraps. However, multiple certification listings and database appearances suggest that the V80 Lite 5G could be a rebranded version of the Vivo S2, which recently made its way to India.

Vivo V80 Lite 5G Launch
Vivo has not yet officially announced the launch date or pricing of the V80 Lite 5G, although reports indicate that it could launch in India and globally soon. However, the smartphone has appeared on several certification platforms, suggesting that a wider international launch could be in the works.
The handset has reportedly appeared with model number V2626 on Malaysia's SIRIM certification database. Another model number, V2576, is particularly noteworthy as it is associated with the Vivo S2. The V80 Lite 5G has also been spotted on the Google Play Supported Devices List, Geekbench, TUV and Bluetooth SIG databases.
Its appearances on Malaysia's SIRIM and Europe's EEC certification platforms further suggest that Vivo could be preparing the phone for multiple markets.
If the phone is indeed based on the Vivo S2, Vivo could position it as a mid-range offering focused on design, cameras and battery life. More details should emerge closer to the official launch.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G Expected Specifications
If the Vivo V80 Lite 5G is a rebadged Vivo S2, the smartphone could feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The curved panel could be one of the phone's key design highlights. The handset is also tipped to pack a large 7,050mAh battery while measuring just 7.39mm in thickness. This combination could make battery life and slimness two of its major selling points.
The chipset remains unclear at this stage. Earlier reports suggested the Dimensity 7360 Turbo, which powers the Vivo S2. However, a Geekbench listing associated with the V2626 model reportedly points towards the Dimensity 7300e. It is possible that Vivo could use different chipsets depending on the market.
Charging specifications are also uncertain. TUV certification reportedly points to 44W charging, while previous reports claimed support for 90W fast charging. The final charging configuration is therefore expected to be confirmed only at launch.
For cameras, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G could feature a 32-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary rear sensor. The main camera could be paired with an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and Vivo's Aura Light system. Other expected features include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, and Android 16-based OriginOS 6.
