Vivo X Fold 2 Camera Specs and Design Leaked Ahead of Launch

Looks like Vivo's upcoming foldable, the X Fold 2, is right around the corner, as a new unboxing video has surfaced online, giving us a good look at the design of the smartphone along with the specifications of its cameras.

Earlier, Vivo confirmed that the X Fold 2 will arrive in April 2023, and also gave us a teaser of its design, which confirmed that the premium foldable will be available in an alluring red color option.

Vivo X Fold 2 Camera Specs Revealed

The camera specifications for the Vivo X Fold 2 were furnished by Digital Chat Station, which shared the information on Weibo. According to the leak, the upcoming Vivo X Fold 2 will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 main camera with OIS. The 50MP main camera will be accompanied by an IMX663 ultra-wide-angle lens and an IMX663 sensor.

Furthermore, an unboxing video of the device, which is being showcased at the 2023 Boao Forum in China, has surfaced online (via Gizmochina) and shows the ZEISS branding on the back of the phone, a curved edge display, and a hole-punch cutout at the front.

The power and volume rockers are located on the right side of the device, the upper edge has a microphone, a speaker, and a USB-C port, and the bottom edge houses a SIM card slot. Both the primary and cover displays will have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

In terms of specifications, the device is expected to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The screen is tipped to be an 8-inch E6 AMOLED panel with a 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
A 4,800mAh battery with 120W fast charging support could power the phone.

Finally, the device is expected to ship with Android 13 out of the box with Origin Ocean OS on top.

Vivo X Fold 2 Launch Date

As previously stated, Vivo has confirmed that its premium foldable will debut in April 2023, but no specific date has been announced. However, given that the company has begun teasing its foldable, a launch in the coming weeks is plausible.
