Vivo X Fold 3, Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Launch Date set for March 26: Key Features, Design Confirmed

Vivo is set to ramp up the competition in the foldable smartphone market, with not one, but two new foldable smartphones. The Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro are launching in China next week.

Vivo China recently set up a microsite for the Vivo X Fold 3 series, providing key insights into the two devices, including its color, design, and some important features.

Vivo X Fold 3 Series Launch Date

The Vivo X Fold 3 series is launching in China on March 26 at 07:00 pm local time or 04:30 pm (IST). The launch event will take place at the Shanghai World Expo Center.

Apart from the two foldable smartphones, Vivo has also revealed other products launching at the event. These include the Vivo Pad 3 Pro, Vivo Watch 3, and Vivo TWS 4 earbuds. Now, back to Vivo's upcoming foldables.

Vivo X Fold 3 Series: What we know so far!

According to the company, the Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will debut as the "thinnest and lightest" flagship foldable smartphones. They will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC paired with the custom V3 imaging chip.

Moreover, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will use an 8.03-inch E7 LTPO AMOLED display by Samsung. The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is also expected to feature triple-rear cameras backed by ZEISS. As of now, details of the cameras are still to be confirmed, although the 'Pro' model could feature a 50 MP one-inch type sensor.

The Vivo X Fold 3 series is set to feature an "Armor Feather" design and is also set to debut as the world's first foldable smartphones to feature an SGS five-star anti-drop certification. They will also receive an IPX8 rating for water resistance.

The Vivo X Fold 3 series will also run Android 14-based OriginOS 4. The two foldables will also be equipped with the "Blue Ocean" battery systems, which is expected to offer better battery longevity.
