Vivo X Fold 3 & X Fold 3 Pro Specifications Leaked

The hotly anticipated Vivo X Fold 3 and its Pro sibling have been the subject of rumors and speculations, courtesy of renowned leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo. As the successors of the Vivo X Fold 2, these foldable smartphones are poised to deliver significant improvements.

Let's delve into the leaked specifications and distinctions between the regular and Pro models.

Vivo X Fold 3 & X Fold 3 Pro Specifications Leaked

Camera Specifications

Digital Chat Station provides key insights into the camera setups of the X Fold 3 series. The Pro variant is set to boast a triple rear camera system, headlined by a 50MP primary lens featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), potentially housing a Sony LYT 900 sensor. The leak hints at a secondary ultrawide lens and a periscope telephoto lens, though specific details remain undisclosed.

Conversely, the standard X Fold 3 is expected to feature a different camera configuration. While the leak doesn't divulge details about the ultrawide and periscope telephoto lenses, it suggests the absence of the Omnivision OV64B sensor.

Zoom Capabilities

In the Pro model, Vivo aims to enhance the photography experience with a powerful 64MP Omnivision OV64B periscope telephoto lens boasting 3x optical zoom. On the other hand, the vanilla X Fold 3 is likely to integrate a conventional telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, potentially housing a 32MP Sony IMX 709 telephoto sensor.

Biometric Features and Charging Capabilities

Digital Chat Station's leaks extend to biometric features and charging capabilities. The regular X Fold 3 is expected to omit an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, reserving this feature exclusively for the Pro model. Furthermore, the Pro variant is set to support 50W wireless charging, distinguishing it from its counterpart.

Processing Power and Storage Configurations

Under the hood, the X Fold 3 is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, fabricated on TSMC's 4nm process. The Pro variant, on the other hand, is expected to boast the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The Pro model is speculated to offer a higher RAM capacity, with up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM, while the standard X Fold 3 may offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Both models are anticipated to provide ample storage with 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Software and Display

Both variants are set to debut with Origin OS 4 based on Android 14 out of the box. The inner screen of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is expected to feature a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, coupled with LTPO technology allowing variable refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz.
