Vivo X Fold 5 Launch Timeline Tipped in a New Leak; Check Full Specifications
Vivo is reportedly gearing up to launch its next-generation foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 5, which will succeed last year's Vivo X Fold 3. While earlier leaks had already revealed key specifications of the device, a new development from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo sheds light on its expected launch timeline. Let's dive into the details.
Vivo X Fold 5 Launch Timeline Tipped
According to the tipster, the Vivo X Fold 5 could arrive in China in July. However, there's a possibility that the company may push the release forward to June, depending on internal development progress. Notably, DCS had previously stated that the foldable phone will launch in the third quarter of this year in its home market.

Vivo X Fold 5 Specifications: What We Know So Far
Alongside the expected launch timeline, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that the upcoming Vivo X Fold 5 will be a design-centric imaging flagship and will bring notable upgrades in performance, battery life, and camera capabilities.
According to the tipster, the Vivo X Fold 5 will pack a massive 6,000mAh battery and support wireless charging. It's also tipped to feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens. The rear camera module will be placed in a large circular layout.
On the front, the device is expected to sport dual 20MP selfie cameras-one each on the cover and internal displays. However, this contradicts a previous report that claimed the foldable would feature two 32MP front-facing cameras instead. Moreover, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
Earlier leaks suggest the foldable will measure 4.3mm when unfolded and 9.3mm when folded. The cover display is expected to be a 6.53-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the main inner display will span 8.03 inches, featuring AMOLED technology, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 2K resolution.
For imaging, the phone will house a triple camera setup comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and the aforementioned 50MP periscope telephoto camera. Other features will include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an alert slider, functionalities, and an official IP rating.
Vivo X Fold 5: Coming to India?
Last year, Vivo launched both the X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro, but only the Pro variant made its way to the Indian market. As of now, it remains unclear whether the company plans to launch the standard Vivo X Fold 5 in India.
There's also no official word on whether a Pro version will be launched this year. Stay tuned with us for more updates surrounding the Vivo X Fold 5.
