Vivo has officially dropped the most premium smartphone in its flagship X series. The Vivo X100 Ultra recently arrived in China alongside the Vivo X100s and Vivo X100s Pro, the first to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset.

The Vivo X100 Ultra is the first smartphone from the company to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC as both the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro incorporated the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chip. The Vivo X100 Ultra also brings a 2K AMOLED display and ZEISS optics.

Vivo X100 Ultra Specifications

The Vivo X100 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone also packs a 5,500 mAh battery with 80W wired and 30W wireless fast charging support. The Vivo X100 Ultra runs Android 14-based OriginOS 4.0 out of the box.

The top-end Vivo X100 Ultra sports a 6.78-inch 2K E7 AMOLED display with curved edges and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen also boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz touch sampling rate for gaming. The screen also boasts a pixel density of 517 PPI and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

Connectivity options include 4G, 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 7, GPS, Bluetooth 5.4, a USB Type-C port, and more. The Vivo X100 Ultra weighs 229 grams and measures 9.23mm thick. The Vivo X100 Ultra also boasts an IP69 rating for resistance to dust and water and an aluminum alloy frame. It features an ultra-responsive 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the display.

In terms of optics, the Vivo X100 Ultra features a triple-camera setup on the back consisting of a 50 MP Sony LYT900 1-inch type primary camera sensor with an f/1.75 aperture and CIPA 4.5-level gimbal stabilization.

The main camera is accompanied by a 50 MP Sony LYT600 ultrawide lens with an f/1.95 aperture and a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 periscope sensor with an f/2.67 aperture and OIS support. Up front, the Vivo X100 Ultra opts for a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 selfie camera.

The Vivo X100 Ultra's rear cameras are co-developed with ZEISS and bring several AI features courtesy of Vivo's in-house BluImage technology. Moreover, the Vivo X100 Ultra also features a custom V3+ ISP and ZEISS T* lens coating. The camera system also supports the ZEISS APO Telephoto Macro mode.

Vivo X100 Ultra Pricing, Colors

The Vivo X100 Ultra price in China starts from CNY 6,499 (roughly Rs 75,000) for the base 12GB/256GB model. Moreover, the Vivo X100 Ultra also comes in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations that cost CNY 7,299 (roughly Rs 84,250) and CNY 7,999 (roughly Rs 92,350), respectively.

The Vivo X100 Ultra comes in Space Gray, Bai Yueguang (White), and Titanium color options. The Vivo X100 Ultra is up for pre-order in China, although there is no information about its availability globally.
