Vivo X20 Plus UD with on-display fingerprint scanner might launch soon: Certified by TENAA
The TENAA listing does reveal some of the key specs and design of the upcoming Vivo X20 Plus UD smartphone.
Just last week at CES 2018, Chinese handset maker Vivo unveiled its new smartphones Vivo X20 Plus UD. However, the most interesting thing about this new handset was that it came with an in-display fingerprint sensor. While many brands have been reportedly working on integrating such technology into their products Vivo might have taken the lead in coming out with a commercial device in the market.

Having said that, the newly showcased smartphone, Vivo X20 Plus UD has now been certified by Chinese Certification body TENAA. Besides, now that the device has appeared on the certification database, it could mean that the company is gearing up to launch the device soon in the market.
While we have already had some glimpses of the smartphone earlier, it does look like the original Vivo X20 Plus. But again the UD version doesn't come with a square rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. However, the main takeaway here is that the TENAA listing does reveal some of the key specs and design of the upcoming smartphone.
So we basically get some idea about the device and what it will feature. But do note that these might not be the final name, features or specifications that the smartphone could come with. Brands usually change them at the last moment.

As per the listing, Vivo X20 Plus UD will come with a 6.43-inch OLED display and a resolution of 2160x1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor paired with 4GB RAM. Internal storage of the handset is said to be 128GB, with support for expansion up to 256GB via micro SD card
Talking about the cameras, Vivo X20 Plus UD sports a dual camera setup at the back that further comprises of a 12-megapixel lens and a secondary 5-megapixel lens. Up front, the handset seems to feature a 12-megapixel camera.

The device is said to be backed by a 3800mAh battery. According to the TENAA listing, the handset comes with connectivity options like Bluetooth, USB support, and 4G Internet. The handset will likely be available in Black Gold, Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Matte Black color options. Dimensions of the device are said to be 165.2x80.02x7.35mm and its weight 183.1 gram.
Meanwhile, Vivo had already announced its partnership with Synaptics in the past week. This partnership was signed to bring Synaptic's native in-display fingerprint scanning technology called Clear ID. According to Synaptics, the proprietary technology is fast and highly secure.
