Vivo X200 Pro, X200 Pro Mini Cameras, Design, Battery Improvements Confirmed Ahead of Launch
The Vivo X200 series is making its debut in China next week. The line-up will include the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro. The company will also unveil a smaller version of the X200 Pro, titled the 'Vivo X200 Pro Mini'. Ahead of the launch, Vivo has already started revealing key aspects of the upcoming Vivo X200 series.
In a recent development, Vivo shared the design of the upcoming X200 series along with camera details of the 'Pro' models. Jia Jingdong, Vice President of Vivo, recently confirmed that the Vivo X200 Pro will get the groundbreaking 200MP periscope sensor, first spotted on the Vivo X100 Ultra.

Vivo X200 Pro, X200 Pro Mini Cameras
The post confirms that the Vivo X200 Pro and X200 Pro Mini will feature similar camera setups. They will use a 50MP Sony LYT-818 1/1.28" sensor with OIS paired with a 50MP ultrawide lens. However, the star of the show will be the impressive 200MP periscope lens with an f/2.67 aperture and an 85mm focal length.

However, the 200MP periscope shooter on the X200 Pro Mini will feature a 70mm focal length and an f/2.57 aperture. Additionally, the Vivo X200 Pro phones will also feature a new 135mm portrait mode with the standard 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 100mm focal lengths.
Vivo X200 Series New Video Capabilities
The upcoming X200 series is set to deliver impressive slow-motion capabilities, offering 4K video at 120fps. Additionally, it introduces a feature called "4K Backlit Movie Portrait Video." According to the company's VP, this feature boasts the industry's most advanced exposure control technology, allowing for optimal clarity even in heavily backlit conditions.
This breakthrough is designed to enhance video quality, making it perfect for capturing stunning portrait videos with balanced lighting, regardless of challenging light environments. The X200 series aims to redefine how users capture high-quality, cinematic footage in 4K.

The Vivo X200 series will also use the new V3+ imaging chip, which was first seen on the Vivo X100 Ultra. Vivo will also collaborate with ZEISS for the cameras on the X200 series. Here's a look at the Vivo X100 Pro in action.

The company refers to this innovative look as a "full-depth micro-quadruple design," highlighting its sleek, modern aesthetic. We can expect to see a similar design on the Vivo X200.

The Vivo X200 series will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, which is set to be released ahead of Vivo's announcement. Moreover, the Jingdong also shared big battery improvements coming to the Vivo X200 line-up.
According to the post, Vivo's semi-solid battery technology used on the X200 series will offer the highest energy density ever achieved in the industry. This advancement promises greater efficiency and longer-lasting power for users.

The Vivo X200 series launch date in China is set for October 14, 2024. As of now, there is no official information, but we can expect the Vivo X200 series to hit Indian and international markets by December 2024 or January 2025.
