Vivo X30 5G With Exynos 980 SoC To Launch In December


Vivo is one of the first smartphone brands to showcase a 5G smartphone and the company has now teased the launch of its next 5G phone -- the Vivo X30 powered by an Exynos chipset which will be the successor to the Vivo X27 and is likely to go live in December 2019.

Vivo X30 Features And Specifications

According to the leak, the Vivo X30 will be a completely bezel-less smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera setup. The smartphone will be powered by the Exynos 980 SoC with a dedicated 5G modem with backward support for 4G networking.

The Exynos 980 is the latest flagship chipset from Samsung with eight CPU cores consisting of two high-performance cores based on Cortex A-77 and six efficient cores based on Cortex A-55 architecture. The chipset is based on the 7nm manufacturing process making it powerful yet power efficient.

As per the remaining specifications, the Vivo X30 is likely to include an AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device is likely to launch with either Android 9 Pie or Android 10 with a custom FunTouch OS skin on top.

The Vivo X30 will also come with a special packaging and the retail package likely to include a fast charging adapter. As this is a 5G phone the device is likely to carry a bigger battery for all-day battery life.

Will It Launch In India?

Like every other 5G smartphones that we have seen this year, the Vivo X30 might not come to India at least until late 2020 as India still does not have 5G networking infrastructure. Vivo has already confirmed that the company will be one of the first brands to launch 5G smartphones and the Vivo X30 might make its way when there is a 5G network here.
