Vivo X30, Vivo X30 Pro Unveiled With Punch-Hole Design, 64MP Camera And More
As expected, the Vivo X30 and X30 Pro smartphones have been announced in China. These are 5G smartphones using the Exynos 980 chipset. Both the Vivo X series smartphones have a similar design with a punch-hole cutout measuring 2.98mm at the top right corner and glass build on both sides.
The Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro flaunt similar specifications in terms of hardware, display, storage, battery, etc. with the main difference being the camera specifications. While the X30 comes with triple rear cameras, the Pro variant features quad cameras at the rear.
Vivo X30, Vivo X30 Pro Specifications
Both the Vivo X30 smartphones arrive with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with a FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Also, there is an in-display fingerprint for authentication purposes along with facial recognition.
Under its hood, the Vivo X30 series will get the power from an Exynos 980 SoC, which is the first Samsung processor to feature an integrated 5G modem. Notably, this chipset was developed in collaboration with Vivo. The octa-core processor features Cortex A77 cores and is teamed up with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space.
When it comes to connectivity, the Exynos 980 modem supports SA and NSA networks and supports download speeds of up to 2.55Gbps. It also comes with 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 5.8GHz Wi-Fi bands, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0. There is a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port on the Vivo smartphones.
The Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro arrive with a 4350mAh battery supporting 33W Flash Charge. These new offerings from the company come with liquid cooling to keep the temperature low even when subjected to CPU-intensive tasks. These run FunTouchOS 10 on top of Android 9 Pie instead of Android 10, which is disappointing.
Vivo X30, Vivo X30 Pro Camera
For imaging, the Vivo X30 flaunts triple cameras at the rear with a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 112-degree field of view, and a 32MP tertiary portrait sensor with 50mm focal length. Furthermore, there is Super Night Scene Mode 2.0, which will pave the way for multi-frame noise reduction and enable click more detailed night shots.
The Vivo X30 Pro features quad cameras with a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP secondary 122-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a tertiary 32MP portrait lens with f/2.0 aperture and 50mm focal length, and a fourth 13MP periscope lens with a 5x optical zoom. The periscope lens is touted to capture up to 60x zoom. Both the smartphones feature a 32MP selfie snapper with f/2.45 aperture.
Vivo X30, X30 Pro Price
The standard variant of the duo, the Vivo X30 is priced at 3298 yuan (approx. Rs. 33,500) for the 128GB variant and 3598 yuan (approx. Rs. 36,500) for the 256GB variant. On the other hand, the Vivo X30 Pro is priced at 3998 yuan (approx. Rs. 40,500) and 4298 yuan (approx. Rs. 43,500) for the 128GB and 256GB variants respectively.
Both the devices will bundle with W7 headphones on orders. The X30 will go on sale on December 28 and the Pro variant will go on sale ahead of it, which is on December 24. As of now, there is no word regarding the global availability of these new Vivo smartphones.
