Vivo X300 FE Launched in India: Compact Flagship With Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and a 6,500mAh Battery

Vivo launched the X300 FE in India today alongside the X300 Ultra. The two phones share a launch event but target very different buyers.

The FE is the compact one, with a 6.31-inch screen, and it's one of the few phones at this size that doesn't ask you to compromise on battery life or camera hardware to get there.

Display and Design

The X300 FE has a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 5,000 nits of peak brightness. The back uses cold sculpted glass with a horizontal camera bar. It comes in three colours: Urban Olive, Lilac Purple, and Noir Black, with Urban Olive being an India-exclusive variant. The phone also carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it's rated for submersion as well as resistance to high-pressure water.

Performance and Battery

Inside is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Despite the compact body, the X300 FE packs a 6,500mAh battery with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging. That battery size is genuinely unusual for a phone this compact.

Camera System

The rear triple camera setup is Zeiss co-engineered across all three lenses. The main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX-921, followed by a 50MP Sony IMX-882 3x telephoto. The ultrawide is an 8MP sensor. The front camera is 50MP. The phone is also compatible with the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 accessory, the same 200mm clip-on lens that comes with the X300 Ultra, though the 400mm Gen 2 Ultra version is exclusive to the Ultra model.

Software

The X300 FE ships with Android 16 and OriginOS 6. The phone runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and is backed by five years of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security patches.

Price, Offers, and Availability

The Vivo X300 FE comes in two variants: 12GB/256GB at ₹79,999 and 12GB/512GB at ₹89,999. Both are available on 24-month no-cost EMI with zero down payment, starting at ₹3,333 per month for the base variant.

The ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 (200mm) is sold separately at ₹15,999, and the Telephoto Extender Accessories Kit costs ₹3,999. The X300 FE bundled with the Extender and Accessories Kit is priced at ₹95,997 (down from MOP ₹99,997), with EMI going up to ₹4,000 per month.

On the offers front, buyers get up to 10% instant cashback across select bank cards, a ₹5,000 upgrade bonus, one year of free extended warranty, V-Shield screen damage protection with a 60% discount starting at ₹1,249, a 60% assured buyback plan at ₹799, and Jio's 5,000GB cloud storage for 18 months with free Pro Google Gemini. Online buyers on HDFC, SBI, and Axis Bank cards get a flat 10% instant discount plus a flat ₹5,000 exchange bonus, or the option of 24-month no-cost EMI instead.
