Vivo X300 Pro Camera Specs Confirmed Ahead of Launch: Sony LYT828 Sensor and 200MP Samsung Zoom Lens
Vivo isn’t slowing down with its camera ambitions. The company has officially confirmed that its next flagship, the Vivo X300 Pro, will launch with new sensors from both Sony and Samsung, setting the stage for another round of competition in the camera-focused flagship space.

A New Sony Main Camera
The big highlight here is the main camera. Vivo has confirmed the use of Sony’s LYT828 sensor, a 50MP unit with a large 1.28-inch size and 1.22 μm pixels. If that sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the successor to the LYT818 that powered the X200 Pro’s camera system.
That device earned plenty of attention for its Zeiss-backed imaging, and this next step looks like Vivo wants to keep that momentum going. The LYT828 will reportedly work alongside Vivo’s in-house VS1 and V3+ imaging chips, which should mean better color accuracy and improved low-light performance.
Samsung Steps in for the Telephoto
It’s not just the main sensor that’s getting an overhaul. Vivo also confirmed that the X300 Pro’s periscope telephoto camera will be switching to a new Samsung sensor. While details are still limited, reports point to Samsung’s 200MP sensor being in the mix.
If true, that would be a major leap in zoom photography, potentially making the X300 Pro one of the most versatile phones for long-range shots.
Battery Certification Adds to the Buzz
Cameras aside, there’s another reason the X300 Pro is drawing attention. The phone just appeared in China’s CMIIT certification database with a hefty 6,500mAh battery. That’s one of the largest batteries we’ve seen in a mainstream flagship in a while.
Pair that with MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9500 processor, which the series is expected to use, and you’ve got a phone that’s shaping up to be a well-rounded powerhouse.
The Bottom Line
The Vivo X200 Pro raised the bar last year with its camera setup, and now the X300 Pro looks set to push things further with upgraded Sony and Samsung sensors. Add in a bigger battery and next-gen processing power, and Vivo’s upcoming flagship is shaping up to be one of the more interesting launches to watch in the coming months.
