Vivo X500 Pro, Vivo X500 Pro Max with MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, Zeiss Triple Cameras, 144Hz OLED Displays

Vivo has launched the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max in China as the premium models in its latest flagship smartphone lineup. Both phones pack MediaTek's new Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, built on a 2nm process, along with Zeiss cameras and new accessories.

Vivo X500 Pro Price, Availability and Colours

The Vivo X500 Pro starts at CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs. 93,000) for the 12GB + 256GB configuration. The 12GB + 512GB model costs CNY 7,499 (around Rs. 1,07,000), while the 12GB + 1TB variant is priced at CNY 8,499 (roughly Rs. 1,22,000).

The Vivo X500 Pro will be available to purchase in China from September 29 via Vivo's online store.

The Vivo X500 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset and is offered in four colour options. These include Viewing the Sunset, Echoes of the Earth, Night Photography, and Sunny.

Vivo X500 Pro Max Price, Availability and Colours

The Vivo X500 Pro Max sits at the top of the new lineup and starts at CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs. 1,00,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The 12GB + 512GB version is priced at CNY 7,999 (about Rs. 1,14,000), while the 16GB + 512GB model costs CNY 8,499 (around Rs. 1,22,000). The 12GB + 1TB configuration is priced at CNY 8,999 (roughly Rs. 1,29,000).

Vivo is also offering a 16GB + 1TB configuration of the X500 Pro Max bundled with the Creator Kit.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max will go on sale in China from September 24, alongside the standard Vivo X500. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset and comes in the same four colour options as the Vivo X500 Pro: Viewing the Sunset, Echoes of the Earth, Night Photography, and Sunny.

Vivo X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max Specifications, Features

The Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max are dual-SIM smartphones that run the same operating system as the standard Vivo X500. While both models share several hardware features, the Pro Max gets a larger, higher-resolution display and a more advanced telephoto camera.

Display and Design

The Vivo X500 Pro features a 6.36-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,216 x 2,660 pixels. The panel offers the same display features as the standard Vivo X500.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max gets a larger 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 1,440 x 3,168-pixel resolution. It supports up to a 144Hz refresh rate and offers a pixel density of 507ppi.Both smartphones feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The Vivo X500 Pro measures 151.78 x 71.92 x 7.95mm and weighs approximately 192 grams. The Vivo X500 Pro Max is larger at 163.32 x 76.82 x 7.95mm and weighs around 225 grams.

Performance and Storage

The Vivo X500 Pro and Pro Max are powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. The flagship octa-core processor is manufactured using a 2nm process and reaches a peak clock speed of 4.55GHz.

The chipset is paired with a Mali-G2-Ultra-NX GPU, while Vivo's V3+ and VS1 Blueprint Image Chips handle imaging-related processing. Both phones offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The Vivo X500 Pro packs a 6,510mAh battery, while the larger Pro Max model gets an 8,000mAh battery. Both phones support the same charging technology as the standard Vivo X500.

Cameras

Both models feature triple rear camera setups with a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.57 aperture and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The telephoto camera is where the two models differ. The Vivo X500 Pro gets a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.52 aperture, while the Pro Max features a much higher-resolution 200-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/2.67 aperture.

For selfies and video calls, both smartphones feature a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. The phones also support video recording at up to 4K resolution and 240fps.
