Vivo X500 Series India Launch Timeline Tipped: Here Is When The Phone Can Launch

If you’re waiting for Vivo’s next camera-focused flagship, you might not have to wait much longer. The Vivo X500 series is reportedly coming to India by the end of November, with the company expected to bring its premium camera phones to the country soon.

Vivo X500 Series India Launch Timeline Tipped: All Details

The lineup is expected to include the Vivo X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max, with the Pro Max tipped to lead the series. The Vivo X500 Ultra could arrive at a later date. While Vivo has yet to confirm the launch timeline, the upcoming phones are expected to bring improvements to autofocus tracking, slow-motion recording and video tools aimed at content creators. Here’s what we know so far.

Vivo X500 Pro Max Camera Features Tipped

According to a recent Smartprix report, the Vivo X500 Pro Max could be the most camera-focused phone in the upcoming lineup. It is tipped to feature a 50MP Sony LYTIA L910 primary camera, paired with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.

But the camera hardware is not the only thing worth looking at. The phone is also said to support 60fps autofocus tracking snapshots and 4K slow-motion recording at up to 960fps. It could also offer 4K recording at 240fps, along with 4K 120fps video with autofocus tracking.

For those who like to edit their footage, the X500 Pro Max is reportedly getting TrueDynamic Log, which could offer more flexibility when colour grading videos.

There is one thing to keep in mind, though. The reported 960fps slow-motion recording feature is said to use frame interpolation. This means the phone may generate additional frames rather than capture every frame natively, so the final footage may not offer the same level of detail as native 960fps recording.

Vivo X500 and X500 Pro: What to Expect

The standard Vivo X500 is also expected to get some camera upgrades. As per reports, it could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600M chipset and feature a 50MP primary camera, reportedly using the same sensor as the Vivo X300 Pro. The phone could also get a 64MP telephoto camera.

The X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max are all tipped to run OriginOS 7 based on Android 17. The phones are also expected to come with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Vivo has not confirmed the India launch date, pricing or configurations for the X500 series yet. For some context, the Vivo X300 launched in India at Rs 75,999, while the X300 Pro was priced at Rs 1,19,999. These prices give us an idea of where the current lineup sits, but the X500 series could be priced differently.

For now, if you’re considering buying a premium Android phone mainly for the camera, it may be worth waiting for Vivo to announce the X500 series in India.
