Vivo X500 Pro Max Launch Tipped: 200MP Periscope Camera, LOFIC Tech, 7,000mAh Battery

Vivo’s next flagship lineup is already showing up in leaks, even though the company is still months away from making anything official.

A new leak from Chinese tipster Smart Pikachu suggests the upcoming Vivo X500 series could bring some notable camera upgrades, along with bigger batteries and different display sizes across the lineup.

This series is expected to succeed the Vivo X300 lineup, which debuted in China last year.

Camera Upgrades Could Be the Big Story

The biggest leak revolves around the rumored Vivo X500 Pro Max.

According to the tipster, Vivo is testing the phone with a 50MP main camera that uses LOFIC technology. That sounds technical, but the idea is fairly simple. It’s designed to better handle bright scenes by improving dynamic range and reducing blown-out highlights.

The phone is also tipped to feature a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, which suggests Vivo is continuing to push hard on zoom photography.

Another rumored addition is a multispectral sensor, which could help improve color accuracy in photos. Vivo hasn’t confirmed this, and it’s still unclear whether this feature will make it to the final product.

Two Display Sizes May Be Coming

The leak also claims the Vivo X500 lineup could arrive in 6.4-inch and 6.9-inch display options.

That likely means Vivo may continue offering both compact and larger flagship models, depending on the variant.

The lineup is expected to include a standard model, Pro model, and a Pro Max variant.

Bigger Battery, Faster Performance

Earlier leaks have also hinted that the top-end model may run on MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.

A 7,000mAh battery is also being rumored, which would be unusually large for a flagship phone.

Other leaked specs include a 2K LTPO flat display, 144Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Vivo is expected to unveil the X500 series in China later this year, possibly around September.
