Vivo Y02T, Vivo Y16 budget smartphones get price cut in India
Vivo surprises its customers with a substantial reduction in prices for two of its popular smartphone models, the Vivo Y16 and Y02T. The revised pricing, which was sent out via an X post, sees a reduction of Rs. 500, placing the devices at more budget-friendly price points. Both models feature MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging, and a unique camera setup.
Vivo recently cut the price of two of its budget smartphones in India. The Vivo Y16 and Vivo Y02T have both received a price cut of Rs 500 in the country. Both phones share largely similar specifications.
The Vivo Y16 and Vivo Y02T are affordable 4G smartphones that use a MediaTek chipset, a large battery, and the latest Android 13 software. Now, let's look at the pricing of these two budget smartphones.

Vivo Y16, Vivo Y02T Discounted Prices
The Vivo Y16 price in India has bee slashed to 10,499 for the base 4GB/64GB model, while the 4GB/128GB variant costs Rs 11,999. To recall, the Vivo Y16 was originally unveiled in India with a starting price of Rs 10,999 (4GB/64GB) and Rs 12,499 (4GB/128GB).
On the other hand, the Vivo Y02T price in India now stands at Rs 8,999, down from its original price of Rs 9,499. The new pricing of the Vivo Y02T, Vivo Y16 is reflected on Amazon, Flipkart, and Vivo's official Indian website. The Vivo Y16 comes in Drizzling Gold and Stellar Black shades, while the Vivo Y02T arrives in Cosmic Grey and Sunset Gold color options.

Vivo's two affordable smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC paired with the IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The Vivo Y02T comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the Vivo Y16 features 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.
Both the Vivo Y02T and Vivo Y16 sport a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a pixel density of 270 PPI. The phones also pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W fast charging support. The device runs Android 13-based on Funtouch OS 13.
For optics, the Vivo Y02T gets a single 8 MP rear camera, while the Vivo Y16 opts for a 13 MP primary camera sensor and a 2 MP secondary lens. Up front, both smartphones use a 5 MP selfie camera. Connectivity options on the two devices include 4G LTE, Dual-SIM support, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, a USB Type-C port, and more.
