Vivo Y28s 5G With IP64 Rating, 90Hz Display Goes Official

Vivo has launched a new Y-series device dubbed the Vivo Y28s 5G in the global market. The phone has been listed on the brand's official website, revealing its design and detailed features. However, the pricing of the phone is still unknown. Let's take a look at the features of the latest Vivo Y28s 5G.

Vivo Y28s 5G Features

The Vivo Y28s 5G has a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD screen that supports a 90Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 840 nits. The phone features a waterdrop notch at the front and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button. The Vivo Y28s 5G also comes with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage which supports additional storage expansion of up to 1TB via a microSD card. The Vivo Y28s 5G packs a 5,000 mAh battery unit with 15W charging support.

For imaging, there is a dual-rear camera setup including a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera. Upfront, it gets an 8MP selfie camera. On the software front, it runs Funtouch OS 14-based Android 14. For connectivity, the handset supports dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Moreover, the Vivo Y28s 5G is offered in Mocha Brown and Twinkle Purple colour options.

As mentioned above, the pricing of the Vivo Y28s is yet to be announced. It also remains to be seen if the brand has any plan to bring the smartphone into the Indian market.

Now, the company is gearing up to launch the Vivo T3 Lite 5G today (June 27) at 12 PM in the country. Following the launch, the phone will be available for purchase via Flipkart. The upcoming Vivo T3 Lite is said to be the most affordable 5G phone from the brand.
